Questions
Do I need an API key?
Not on Free, Basic or Pro. Those plans run on Gramai's own key: install the extension, select some text, right-click, done. Own key is the plan for people who already have a key with an AI provider and would rather pay that provider directly — one $4.99 payment, no subscription.
Which model do you use?
On Free, Basic and Pro it is a current OpenAI model, chosen by Gramai and swapped as better ones appear — there is nothing for you to configure. On Own key you pick both: any of nine providers and any model they offer. The privacy page has the full detail on who processes your text on the hosted plans.
What happens after the 10 free actions?
Nothing breaks and nothing is charged. The next rewrite answers "Your 10 free actions are used up. Pick a plan to keep going." with a button that opens this page. The 10 actions are counted per installation and do not reset, so they are a one-off allowance rather than a daily one.
What's the difference between Basic and Pro?
How much you can run through it. Basic gives 50 actions and 60,000 characters a day, with up to 3,000 characters in one action. Pro gives 150 actions and 200,000 characters a day, and takes up to 8,000 characters in one action — a long email or a whole section at once. Both include every action; both reset at midnight UTC.
Can I cancel or switch plans?
Yes. Basic and Pro are billed by Lemon Squeezy; cancel or change a subscription from Lemon Squeezy's "My orders" page, linked from the extension's options page. Own key is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
What's your refund policy?
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. If a plan doesn't work for you, write to support@gramai.dev and we'll sort it out.
How many devices can I use a plan on?
Activate your license from the options page on each browser you use. If you run out of activations, deactivate one device from its options page to free up a slot for another.
